So I rather naively thought I had it all figured out, well at least where I stood with the whole "Where did we come from?" question popped up. Turns out... I don't have a clue. So this is what this blog is for, to write down all the conclusions and questions that I come up with to attempt to answer questions I already asked and to just really try and get it out of my head. I'm getting a bit sick of trying to keep it all in.

I feel the need to have a spiritual identity, I find the concept that all of my emotions, my thoughts and my decisions are simply electrical signals flowing through my body depressing. I feel that I am more than that, that I have a soul. And while that soul may not go anywhere after my body no longer has the energy to keep itself alive, it's still something I cannot "rationalise" down, or accept the alternative. But although I don't know about a "God", I find myself pretty certain I do not believe in organised religion. 

This is, for me, made all the more confusing, in that my partner, the man I am planning to marry, has very clinical views of the world, holding no difficulty that he is only electrical impulses and that we really bare no importance to anything, another line of thought that depresses me too. So this is for me, my space to be me and think what I think and be out there with it...

But for now its dinner time, and if I am going to create these posts, with even a miniscule amount of the depth I hope to achieve, then I need a good dinner!
